Plus Size OOTD: IGIGI Francesca Dress in Ruby Deco

I have been so excited about wearing this dress! The Francesca style from IGIGI is one of my favorite styles I have ever tried. You may remember, I wore a black Francesca dress earlier this year to a Kentucky Derby red carpet event.  It's just such a great design- the style, the movement, the lightweight feel...just perfect! When I saw the new Francesca dress in Ruby Deco, I had complete heart eyes! I am always in awe of the gorgeous styles, fabrics, colors and designs that I see from IGIGI, and this one really stopped me in my tracks. I thought it was sooooooooooo incredibly beautiful, so I couldn't wait to try it.
I think this dress would be perfect for many occasions, both day and night, but I decided my first wear would be out on a dinner date with my hubby. We decided to stop by the waterfront for a romantic stroll and to take some outfit pics, of course. Even though it was hot outside, I felt completely cool and comfortable thanks to this lightweight dress. It was also very windy, but this dress managed to still lay as it should and not cling or look too weird and wind blown lol. The dress really has beautiful movement to it.
I love the three quarter length sleeves and the color palette because I will be able to wear this all year. As a 5'1" girl, the dress hits me below the knee. Before I tried IGIGI, I never would have considered a dress at this length, I always liked super long or above the knee. I always feared the in between length. However, I have since realized, that this length can look great on anyone. All it takes is the right design and construction.
I also love the defined waist band. I don't even need a belt with this one! The design makes it easy to wear all on it's own.
For styling this one, I kept the jewelry to a minimum and decided to make my new fringe shoulder bag from H&M my main statement accessory. I am so in love with this bag! I think it accents this dress perfectly.

Yay! Ross Dress for Less opened another location in Louisville! Pics + Haul

It was just a couple of years ago that Louisville got its first Ross Dress for Less location and my love affair with this store began. I love affordable fashion, and Ross Dress for Less is easily the most affordable retailer that I shop from. It was so exciting to finally shop there for the first time and to have a store close to home. Recently, they opened their third Louisville location and another nearby in Clarksville, IN. I stopped by the new Dixie Hwy. location on opening day to check it out, of course!

I was so excited to see so many new and current trends and styles. Here are some of the top trends I saw:

 1. Stylish sandals

2. Bold backpacks

3. Retro floral- 90's inspired

4. Printed leggings

5. Chevron

I thought I would also share with you what I picked up on that trip and another recent trip from the St. Matthews Ross Dress for Less. I ended up getting some things I thought would work perfect with my summer style- dresses, shoes and a bold headband.

Above, black and white maxi dress with embellished halter.
Below, geometric hi-lo dress.

Above, sparkling gold flats with gemstone accents.
Below, pink patent leather flats.

Above, a bright pink headband with chain design.

Can't wait to go back and do some more shopping very soon!

1020 Veterans Parkway
Clarksville, IN 47129

OOTD: Stylzoo Color Block Stretch Maxi Skirt

I looooove maxi skirts in summer. They are just so stylish, comfortable and easy to wear. This maxi is the Color Block Stretch Maxi Skirt from Stylzoo, and I'm in love with it! At first, I wasn't sure this skirt was going to work for me, but I was so wrong about that. I love the way it looks! I love the colors and the diagonal color block pattern. The skirt also has this unique flow to it at the bottom, and it makes it looks so beautiful. It has the perfect amount of flare to it.

I also love the comfortable, stretchy fabric and the fold over waist design. It looks great and feels comfortable all day long. What more could I possibly want? You can dress this skirt up or dress it down. It would look great as a casual look, work look, or even for an event! I paired this skirt with a simple tank and a blazer. I rolled the sleeves up on my blazer since it's getting pretty hot outside these days. The skirt is lightweight, so it is still perfect for the summer weather.

Here are some closer views of the skirt. Below is a side view. I love the way the color block design looks all the way around this skirt. It's so unique and beautiful!

This color block maxi skirt is available in sizes 1X-6X on the Stylzoo website. You can use the code thirty to receive 30% off of this and all other items on the website! So awesome.
